At Reattend Technologies Private Limited (“Reattend”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), your privacy is fundamental to our product. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you choose to set a display name or upload an avatar, we store that as well.
Memories and Content
We store the memories, notes, files, and other content you create or upload to the Service (“Your Content”). This includes text, images, documents, and any metadata generated by our AI enrichment pipeline (tags, summaries, action items, connections).
Desktop App & Chrome Extension Data
Our optional desktop app and Chrome extension capture content from your screen or browser to build your memory. Specifically:
- Page text: The extension reads text content from web pages you visit in productivity apps (email, docs, chat, project management). It does not capture content from social media, shopping, or entertainment sites.
- Writing detection: When you type in text fields (composing emails, writing documents, chat messages), the extension captures your typed text to remember your decisions and ideas.
- Text selections: When you explicitly right-click and select "Save to Reattend," the selected text is captured.
- Screen capture (desktop app only): The desktop app uses screen OCR to read visible text. It skips sensitive apps (password managers, banking, terminals).
All captured content is sent to your Reattend account via encrypted HTTPS and processed through our AI pipeline to determine what is worth remembering. Most captured content is automatically filtered out and never stored. You can disable passive capture at any time in the extension or app settings.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage data to improve the Service, including pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns. We do not track individual browsing behavior across third-party websites.
Technical Data
We automatically collect certain technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and device information for security and performance purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Process your memories through our AI enrichment pipeline (tagging, summarization, linking).
- Send you transactional emails (verification codes, workspace invitations, billing notifications).
- Respond to your support requests.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. What We Do NOT Do
We do not sell your data. Your information is never sold to third parties.
We do not train AI on your data. Your Content is never used to train machine learning models.
We do not show you ads. We have no advertising business.
We do not share your memories. Your Content is private by default and only visible to you and team workspace members you explicitly invite.
4. AI Processing
Our Service uses AI (powered by third-party language models) to enrich your memories with tags, summaries, action items, and connection suggestions. When processing your memories:
- Your Content is sent to AI providers solely for the purpose of generating enrichments.
- We use API-based processing, which means your data is not used for model training by our AI providers.
- AI-generated outputs are stored alongside your memories within your account.
5. Data Sharing
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Team workspaces: Content in a team workspace is visible to all members of that workspace.
- Service providers: We use third-party services for email delivery, AI processing, and hosting infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental request.
6. Third-Party Integrations
Reattend offers optional integrations with third-party services (Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, and others). When you connect an integration, Reattend accesses only the data necessary to provide the memory-syncing functionality you have enabled.
Slack
When you connect Slack, Reattend requests the following permissions:
- channels:read, channels:history: Read messages from channels you are a member of, so they can be synced into your Reattend memory.
- users:read: Resolve Slack user IDs to display names for richer memory context.
- chat:write, im:write: Send you confirmation DMs when you save a message via the shortcut or slash command.
- commands: Enable the /reattend slash command for saving notes and searching your memory from within Slack.
Reattend only reads messages from channels you explicitly select in the integration settings. Message content is stored in your Reattend account and is not shared with third parties beyond our AI enrichment pipeline. When you disconnect Slack or uninstall the Reattend app from your Slack workspace, your connection is immediately revoked and no new data is synced. You can delete previously synced Slack messages from your Reattend account at any time.
Reattend's use of data obtained through Slack APIs complies with the Slack API Terms of Service.
Gmail
When you connect Gmail, Reattend reads email threads from senders in your configured domain whitelist. Subject lines, sender/recipient names, and message bodies are stored as memory items. Reattend never sends emails, modifies your inbox, or accesses attachments beyond their text content. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and used only for sync. You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account settings or the Reattend integrations page.
Google Calendar
When you connect Google Calendar, Reattend reads your calendar events (title, description, attendees, time) to build meeting context in your memory. Reattend never creates, modifies, or deletes calendar events. Access can be revoked at any time.
In all cases, integration data is scoped to your Reattend workspace, processed through our AI enrichment pipeline under the same terms as other content, and subject to all the protections described in this Privacy Policy.
7. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure, SOC 2-certified infrastructure with AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We use isolated databases per workspace to ensure complete data separation between accounts. We regularly review and update our security practices.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and Content within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data and Content at any time through the Service.
- Export your data in standard formats.
- Correct inaccurate information in your account.
- Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
- Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will promptly delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
